Resident Reviews

Awesomesubmitted by Chandler S. - |Recommended: YesVery nice apartments and grounds. Lots of diversity here as well.
response from property -Thank you Chandler for the great review, we try very hard to make sure our residents have a great living experience with us. Sincerely, Mayfair at Carrollton
Reviewsubmitted by Meg S. - |Recommended: YesSince I've moved in it looks like the grounds are slowly getting worse - grass is yellow in spots, tree outside of my unit is growing out of control, pool is dirty often, cigarette buts all up and down the stairs, the stairs in my unit could stand to be pressure washed. It was not like that when I moved in it seemed someone was hired to keep the grounds up more often. I know the complex has recently and abruptly had to go through some changes so I'm sure things will settle again soon. I still love it here.
response from property -Meg, Although it is taking longer than expected we are finally going to have a full staff onboard to handle all the resident issues. Call me directly if you have things you would like to see addressed, i'll be glad to help. Sincerely, Susie Layman Community Director
A Great starter space for young couplessubmitted by Caleb H. - |Recommended: YesIt's the perfect place for me and my girlfriend, the 2 bedroom model is just the right size to accommodate us . My biggest wish is that we could remove the infuriating and ugly blinds and customize our living space at least a little bit.
response from property -Good morning Caleb, Call me so we may discuss your blind issues, we love to hear your input on what is needed to make your apartment feel more like home to you. Sincerely, Susie Layman Community Director
Could Use Worksubmitted by Colton K. - |Recommended: NoLiving at Mayfair is one of the most polarizing things I have ever been through in my life. I'll start with the good. The place looks great. It's well kept, and for the most part is quiet. The neighbors are nice enough, mainly stick to themselves. The recent repaving on the main road in and out looks great, the grass is always nicely maintained, and none of the other apartments look trashy. It's a well kept place. Also, rent is very fair and doable. Between my wife and I, we are very comfortable with our rent and other payments. We are not in dire financial straits because of this place and we are able to enjoy some of our work on ourselves every month. That's all the good I have to say about this place. As for the bad, the reliability on the front office is absolutely non-existent. I feel like most of these people have absolutely no idea how to run an apartment complex. Ben, the utility man, does absolutely nothing, except work on his motorcycle, ride his motorcycle, smoke cigarettes, and pick trash up from his golf cart. I have had a leaky dishwasher for over three months and have yet to EVER hear back from him, or Mary, the landlord. Then the noise. The noise that has come from our next door neighbor has been unreal. Again, I tried contacting the landlord about the issue and again, nothing was done. Big surprise there. It came to a point where we had to contact the police who sent an officer out to handle it, at 12 30 AM on a Tuesday morning because I had to be up for work in less than five hours. When the front office is so incompetent that it can't handle noise complaints with some finality, you begin to understand the situation you're in. Overall, I hate living here, but do so because my wife and I haven't found a house to move to. Like I said, I love the price of rent and the way the place looks. Hard work has gone into making this place look nice from the outside, but once you're here, it's an entirely different situation. Management is unresponsive and completely useless except for taking rent payments the maintenance man is borderline stealing his pay for the amount of non-work he puts into the place and my neighbor is the most immature, juvenile college student I've ever been around, and I have yet to ever hear a response from management about her noise level. So if I was asked if someone should live at Mayfair, my answer would be a solid no . The rent is great, but the place sucks.
